Calgary, Alberta – Alliston (pronounced ALL-iston) Calgary’s newest home builder, is promising a fresh approach to home building that President and CEO Chris Bourassa believes will position the company as western Canada’s leader in wellness design. Alliston – a new entity – is building on the success of Madison Avenue Group and will be incorporating the best of the former company into the new organization dedicated to integrating health and wellness into its designs.

With demand for new home builds remaining high in Calgary and the competitive selection for homebuyers within the market, Bourassa predicts Alliston is launching its new offering at a key time—no other company is incorporating wellness and better living into their designs.

He says, “Our team is taking inspiration from designs and sustainable material selections from around the world to bring unique ideas to life in our city…we’re creating better spaces and better living.”

A senior real estate investment, development, and construction executive, Bourassa’s 30-plus year insights and experience stems from some of the industries most respected real estate and construction companies in North America. As an alumnus of both the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Cambridge, USA and the Architectural Technology Program at SAIT in Calgary, Canada, he simultaneously brings a theoretical vision and a ‘can do’ pragmatism. He joined the company in February 2022.

“Chris was selected for his depth of experience, strategic vision, talent in real estate development and construction, strong leadership skills, and for his steadfast personal values,” says Hal Walker, Alliston Board Chair. “He’s got a clear vision to innovate within the home building industry and brings his experience from other North American cities to Calgary, setting a new standard for the industry.”

The builder will focus on well-being and finding ways to enhance the intangibles that make people feel at-home in a space where lasting memories can be made. Everything from protecting health and safety to creating opportunities for personal connections will be considered in the design and craftsmanship of every Alliston home.

Bourassa says, “Our vision is to integrate health and wellness into the built environment. These are the ingredients to live better and elevate the quality of life for the individual, a family and the wider community in general.”

The company is currently both a single family and multi-family home builder within communities it believes provide residents with enriching social connections – Hudson West in Greenwich, Wolf Willow, Belvedere Rise, Cornerbrook, South Shore in Chestermere and Cimarron in Okotoks.

Alliston has also recently expanded into low rise multi-family condominium projects in the Kelowna market. Savoy on Clement will launch this fall.
